In a cultura still struggling to accept the LGBTQ community, embracing who you truly are can be an overwhelming experience, especially when our community places a strong emphasis on traditional gender roles and family values.

Sadly, many fear rejection, discrimination, and even the possibility of harm when we take the courageous step of coming out.

Today’s special guest, Angelika Vega, native Colombian, shares her heart wrenching experience of coming out to her mother only to face rejection, disappointment and shame. She reached her darkest moment, yearning not to wake the next morning.

Instead, she courageously faced years of struggle to come to the moment captured in this episode. The moment when she deeply believed she is worthy of love for being her true self.
