On this first day of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, we celebrate everything simple and ordinary beyond other’s expectations of us!
This is a Pod Club episode that gives us insight to what we listened to last week with our featured guest, Valeria Aloe, Author of ‘Uncolonized Latinas: Transforming Our Mindsets and Rising Together. We take time to really sit in the valuable gems that she brought forward and what it means in living the #FirstGenVida.
There are two real gems: First, identifying the conflicting messages we receive from our Latina culture and the US society. Both these narrative create expectations that we feel obligated to meet but really, may have nothing to do with what we really want. Are you trapped trying to meet expectations that have nothing to do with your dreams?
Second, the realization that happiness is rooted in our true self, as we were born, with our own dreams, curiosities and desires. It’s the “ordinary” life away from the insanity but really, it’s an extraordinary way to live.
If you missed last week’s episode with Valeria Aloe, no worries! This episode stands on its own.
Plus, this is the Season 4 ending episode and Life Lnxx will be stepping off for a month long break but no worries! We aren’t really gone. A new 15 minute segment pulled from Season 4 episodes will drop every Wednesday. Now is the time to catch up on your favorite listening!
